Yes, this flasher relay is the correct product for the change to LED indicators (1-100 watt).

Why can't the connector be "locked"?
Possibly, the pins were slightly deformed when inserting the connector. In this case, you have to adjust the pins by means of e.g. a small screwdriver so that they are in a vertical and centric position. The connector now fits without any problems and can also be locked.
