No, we don’t have flat lids for the water cooled R1200R LC (2015-2019).

What does grounded/primed mean?
A GRP (glass fiber reinforced plastics) part is primed (mostly shiny black primed), after you pull it out of the mold in which it was laminated. A primed part is not a perfectly painted part! It can for example have small scratches and so on. This is normal and no big deal, because usually these products get painted in the respective motorcycle colour (by the customer or by the customer’s varnisher). Primed means ready for painting! It does NOT mean perfectly painted and also does not mean that the part has a perfect surface.

Beautiful City Lids! Amazing quality design and manufacturing. My stock bags looked huge and bulbous on my otherwise sleek and slim R1200R. So much so that I found myself leaving them off most of the time. But I missed the ability to carry my bigger tool kit, heated vest, warmer gloves etc. With the new lids I can still carry all those items, plus. And now the bags look like they were made for the styling of my R1200R. Sleek and slim. Perfect! The standard finish on the lids is actually very beautiful. Glossy black that matches my factory paint almost perfectly. It is molded in, not an applied finish. So nothing to scratch off or get damaged. I just wipe them down with the same plastic polish that I use on my windscreen and they are beautiful. I highly recommend these lids!
