BMW R 1250 GS & R 1250 GS Adventure Twin Tone Horn

The Twin Tone Horn ensures with its 123,5 db (measured at a distance of 1 meter) that you get the necessary respect and that you won't be overlooked.
The horn is perfect for motorcycles because it is small and easy to install. Because of its E-approval mark it is street legal in the EU.
We also offer a mounting kit for the Twin Tone Horn. This mounting kit consists of a stainless steel mounting fitting for your BMW R1250GS and the necessary ready-to-install wiring and must be ordered separately.

Optionally, you can install a fuse at the plus cable between the battery and the relay (part no. 852863).

Questions about this article

Does my alarm use the original horn?
The only way to be able to have the alarm still working when installing this horn is when the alarm has its own speaker. This means, the alarm doesn’t use the original horn. You can check, if your alarm has it’s own speaker by unplugging your current horn, then triggering your motorcycles alarm. If you can still hear the alarm, then your alarm has its own speaker and our twin tone horn can be installed and used on your motorcycle.

Which horn do you recommend for a factory lowered BMW R1250GS?
If you have a lowered R1250GS, we recommend to use the following horn:

The horn touches the steel braded hose during deflecting. What can I do?
This is no problem because the steel braided hose is designed to meet these requirements. If you still have concerns, you can for example use a spiral band (part no. KS15) to protect the steel braided hose.

Do I have to consider anything else after having mounted the horn?
Yes. Please make sure that water does not stay inside the horn (e.g. after washing the motorcycle). Otherwise the function of the horn cannot be guaranteed since it might be damaged by the water.

What is the difference between Wolo Bad Boy and Nautilus Stebel?
The Wolo Bad Boy (11690120) needs only 14A to reach full loudness, the Nautilus Stebel (11690120s) needs 18A. A standard motorcycle battery has usually about 12-14A.
