Do I need an ABE or homologation for it?
No, mirrors need a minimum size to be road legal and of course all BMW mirrors are bigger than that minimum size. So also those mirrors are road legal.

Is this a direct fit for a K1200GT (2006-2008) inside the mirror housing or dose it over lap or leave part of the old mirror exposed?
You have to glue our blind angle mirror glass directly on the original mirror glass.
So the original mirror glass will not be removed. Nothing of the old mirror glass will be exposed.
