These lids are designed for urban mobility. No more trouble in traffic. We wished to reduce the original suitcase's thickness for an easier driving between cars in urban areas.

What does grounded/primed mean?
A GRP (glass fiber reinforced plastics) part is primed (mostly shiny black primed), after you pull it out of the mold in which it was laminated. A primed part is not a perfectly painted part! It can for example have small scratches and so on. This is normal and no big deal, because usually these products get painted in the respective motorcycle colour (by the customer or by the customer’s varnisher). Primed means ready for painting! It does NOT mean perfectly painted and also does not mean that the part has a perfect surface.

The original panniers for BMW K1600 are very wide, so I don't like having them on all the time. With these lids the panniers will obviously not hold a full face helmet, but the bike looks much slimmer and I'm happy keep them on all the time. I hesitated between 4 or 5 stars, reason being the fit was not perfect. I had to enlarge the holes slightly on the hinges to make the lids close tightly without having to force them closing. But I am happy now and they look good on the bike, so 5 stars it is!

I just received my narrow lids for my 2013 K1600. These are perfect for everyday use here in California as the standard cases are very wide. This is the only state in which you are allowed to share/split traffic lanes so the arrows cases are appreciated. The fit is perfect and retains the standard locking mechinism. A color option might be a suggestion but I can get them painted without much trouble. Thx
