Right at first glance the sportiness of the new BMW F 800 R catches the eye immediately: New fairings, radiator shields, front mudguards and lighter wheels demonstrate very clearly the special agility of this bike. A very special eye-catcher is the symmetrical main headlight.

However, there is not only a visual enhancement. The inner values were optimized, too. The roadster achieves this by 66 kW (90 hp) at 8,000 rpm and shorter ratios for first and second gear, more pulling power and direct response, which benefits the fuel consumption. The maximum torque is unchanged 86 Nm (63 lb-ft) at 5,800 rpm.

With modern suspension technology and ergonomic innovations the F 800 R gets a completely new driving experience. One reason for this is an upside-down fork and also a hydraulic double-disc brake with radial brake calipers. The perfect complement is a lower seat ((at 790 mm instead of the previous 800 mm) as well as new handlebars and improved rider foot pegs.

BMW has also upgraded in terms of safety. The customer can look forward to ABS fitted as standard. Furthermore ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) are provided as special accessory.
