With the new BMW S 1000 XR, BMW has expanded its sports series that includes the S1000RR, the HP4 and the roadster S1000R so far. The S 1000 XR has some new features and improvements again.

Accessory for your BMW S1000XR

With the installed straight-four-cylinder engine the new S 1000 XR provides now 118 kW (160 hp) at 11,000 rpm which corresponds to a maximum torque of 112 Nm (83 lb-ft) at 9,250 rpm. So sporty driving as well as a comfortable tour for two can be perfectly combined.

As standard the S 1000 XR already comes with the two driving modes "Rain" and "Road" as well as the Automatic Stability Control (ASC). The driving mode “Pro” is available as optional extra with further specials.

As usual in this series the new S 1000 XR is also equipped with an aluminium-alloy perimeter frame in which the engine forms part of the load-bearing structure. Responsible for the wheel control at the front and rear is the adjustable upside-down fork and a double-sided swing arm with adjustable central spring strut.

The optional ABS Pro is a special highlight of this motorcycle as with this option an ABS-assisted braking in an inclined position is possible. It prevents the wheels from locking up and so the motorcycle cannot rear up unwanted.

This new bike should leave nothing to be desired because hardly any other motorcycle combines performance, sportiness and extraordinary design better than the new BMW S 1000 XR.
