The new BMW F900XR

2019-11-18 - the first of its kind in the middle class

Sporty driving, uncomplicated handling and a variety of equipment options. These characteristics are directly associated with the new BMW F900XR, which is intended to conquer the adventure sports segment as a middle class enduro.

It forms the perfect symbiosis of sporting ambition and enduring touring ability and transfers skillfully the characteristics of the "large" S1000XR into the smaller segment. The engine (77 kW or 105 hp) has a cylinder capacity of 895 cm3.
Already included is the so-called "anti-hopping clutch". For an additional charge, you can also get greater stability when decelerating by using the engine drag torque control (MSR).

On the front fairing, there is already the first indication that not only sportiness is an important characteristic of the F900XR, but that you also have a loyal companion on tour because the windbreak can be adjusted to two positions. In terms of design, the crossover machine scores with the twin headlamp, which, as an option, also accommodates adaptive cornering light. In addition, the "Headlight Pro" option provides daytime running lights.

The 15.5-liter tank combined with the short rear end are two equipment examples for this cross-genre motorcycle that combines the two worlds of touring and sporty driving.
Last but not least, the long spring deflections and the height adjustability of the seat ensure comfortable driving.

Ex works the F900XR is equipped with the two driving modes "Rain" and "Road". If desired, additional settings regarding suspension adjustment can be requested. Unusual for a middle class bike and so worth mentioning is the possibility of connectivity between smartphone or navigation device.
