BMW S1000RR (2019) conversion by Hornig

2021-02-26 - more everyday usability for the racing machine



BMW has released the new version of the S1000RR in 2019. This brings clear improvements in technology, riding comfort on racetracks and many other points.

To bring the S1000RR (2019-) to perfection, we have of course again come up with a lot of improvements here. To take the wind pressure from the helmet on the racetrack, we have installed the Racing screen on our RR. This windshield is in the lower part like the original windshield, but it is characterized by the dome-like increase in the middle of the screen. With the chain tensioner the tension of the chain can be adjusted with high precision. However, since not everyone who owns a racing machine drives only on the racetrack, we have developed products that make the S1000RR more suitable for touring and everyday use. Our tank bag EA123 gives the rider storage space for important items such as smartphone, keys, wallet, and so on. Also other tank bags in different sizes from Givi can be mounted on the motorcycle-specific bracket BF06. For further storage space, our tail bag is mounted on the pillion seat of our S1000RR. This bag is easily removable if spontaneously a passenger is on board, but is also mounted firmly enough not to be lost during the ride. On a tour, a navigation device must not be missing, so our GPS mount with plate can be easily mounted on the triple clamp.

Thus, our S1000RR is well-equipped for the racetrack and for touring. What else can you do? Take care of the security of this gem! Even small things like our oil filler cap with Torx lock make a big difference, just like fairing and fork crash pads that protect the important parts in a crash. Furthermore, we have designed a cooler grill to prevent small stones and dirt from damaging or soiling the oil cooler. Our display protection foil protects the TFT display of the S1000RR against scratches. Our carbon fibre look tank pad avoids scratches on the tank which can be caused by the zippers of jackets and pants. Moreover, it covers existing scratches in an elegant way. We also give a little additional boost to the visual appearance of our S1000RR by means of our rim stickers, which are available in many different colours. The short license plate holder allows a better view of the rear wheel and fits perfectly to the look of the S1000RR.
