The new BMW R 1300 RS blends dynamic sport performance with long-distance touring capability like few others in its class. Powerful Boxer Engine
At the heart of the R 1300 RS beats BMW Motorrad’s most powerful production boxer engine to date: a newly developed 1,300 cc flat-twin delivering 145 hp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. BMW’s ShiftCam technology allows for variable valve timing on the intake side, ensuring smooth, responsive power delivery across all rev ranges – strong and tractable at low RPMs, eager and athletic at higher speeds. The system also improves efficiency and refinement, making the RS a perfect companion for both spirited backroad rides and long-haul journeys with luggage and passenger.

More Compact. More Agile.
The revised chassis features a steel sheet main frame with a new aluminium rear subframe. By integrating the frame as a load-bearing element, the structure gains rigidity and optimizes spatial efficiency. The result: noticeably sharper handling and increased rider feedback, enhancing both confidence and control.

Top-Tier Suspension Technology
Comfort and control come standard thanks to BMW’s Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), which continuously adapts damping and spring settings to riding conditions. For even greater precision, the optional Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) system takes it further by actively adjusting both damping and spring rate in real time based on load and riding dynamics. The result is superior ride quality and handling – from short sprints to marathon tours.

Riding Modes for Every Condition
The R 1300 RS comes equipped with three standard riding modes – Rain, Road, and Eco – allowing riders to tailor throttle response, traction control, and suspension settings to suit different conditions. With the optional “Riding Modes Pro” package, two additional modes – Dynamic and customizable Dynamic Pro – are added. A new riding mode preselection function makes switching between preferred modes quick and intuitive – a genuine advantage in everyday use.

Automatic or Manual – Your Ride, Your Choice
A standout innovation is the new Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), which automates clutch and gear shifting – either fully automatically or semi-automatically at the press of a button. Whether you are cruising comfortably or riding aggressively, gear changes are seamless and interruption-free, enhancing comfort while retaining a direct, sporty riding experience.

Touring-Ready Down to the Last Detail
For touring enthusiasts, the R 1300 RS offers a host of well-thought-out features. Optional cases and top case can be centrally locked, feature integrated lighting, and include USB-C charging ports. A new tank bag attaches securely via a tool-free tank ring mount and is easy to remove when needed. Multiple seat options and the Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) system with braking function further enhance comfort on long rides.

Raising the Bar on Safety
The R 1300 RS is available with BMW Motorrad’s most advanced rider safety package to date. The optional “Riding Assistant” includes Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning, Lane Change Warning, and – for the first time on a BMW motorcycle – active Rear End Collision Warning. These systems are supported by a powerful full-LED headlight, with the optional adaptive Headlight Pro delivering optimal illumination even when cornering.

Smart Connectivity and Navigation
Navigation needs are covered with a pre-installed, electronically lockable mounting bracket compatible with both smartphones and dedicated GPS units – ensuring your navigation tools are secure, visible, and seamlessly integrated into your ride.
