Adventure Thailand: Riding the Mae Hong Son Loop on a BMW R1300GS

The Mae Hong Son Loop in northern Thailand offers over 1,800 curves in just 600km. Today we're taking you on our third leg, from Pai to Mae Hong Son. The driving distance between the two towns is only 110 kilometers, but according to Google Maps, you should allow over two hours – no wonder, since the route winds its way through the landscape with countless curves and is considered one of the most impressive motorcycle routes in the region. Along the way, we'll make several stops at scenic locations, showing you the Sai Ngam Hot Springs, the impressive Nam Lod Caves, and a fantastic noodle soup restaurant, and enjoy the view from a spectacular vantage point.
