The BMW F900 GS with sport suspension (Enduro package) comes from the factory with overly stiff springs and an imprecise fork breakaway. Wilbers improves this with softer springs featuring tuned rebound and compression damping, a progressive fork spring, upgraded fork oil, and an optimized air chamber. Additionally, the negative travel is increased, resulting in a significantly more stable, safer, and comfortable ride—especially during braking and cornering.

This shock absorber delivers maximum performance with minimal adjustment effort. Thanks to the new high-flow compression damping valve, the compression damping can be adjusted easily and precisely by hand while remaining fully adaptable to both motorcycle and rider. The large external reservoir ensures optimal cooling and consistently stable damping, even under heavy load. With infinitely adjustable preload via hook spanner, 22-click rebound adjustment, and an optional hydraulic preload system, the shock offers versatile tuning options. Individually tailored to rider weight and load, the 642 S Competition impresses on long tours, demanding roads, off-road terrain, and during sporty road riding with its precise and sensitive response. While the standard spring preload adjustment is carried out using the included hook spanner, the optional hydraulic version allows for a significantly easier and more convenient adjustment via a handwheel. When your vehicle is carrying a heavier load, the correct ride height can thus be restored in no time without having to use a hook spanner.
