VStream windshields are made from tough Quantum hardcoated polycarbonate. This high-quality material, along with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, provides these windscreens with outstanding clarity and strength characteristics unmatched by any windscreen maker worldwide. Optically, the VStream windscreen is clear with virtually no distortion (unlike the hallucinogenic views you get from the stock screen).

VStream Windscreens are 30X more scratch resistant and have 20X greater crack and impact resistance than other aftermarket windscreens on the market made from commonly used acrylic or "aircraft plastic".

4.5mm Quantum hardcoated polycarbonate.

The windscreens only fit in combination with the original BMW LED indicator lights or with the longer original BMW indicator lights with bulb (version USA / Canada). If you have installed the small BMW Sports windshield (e.g. on the white R1200R LC with the red frame), you have to remove it.
The back side of the speedometer aluminium mount/bracket can for example be covered by BMW part no. 46638392893 288. However, this is just an optics and taste issue, the windshields are black at the front at this point, so that you have no direct view of the speedometer's back side.

Windscreens and wind protection are always a complicated issue and advices via internet or telephone are not possible or wrong in most of the cases.
It is not only about the windscreen, there are also many other individual factors like your helmet, your sitting position and your own subjective feeling.
Therefore, we cannot give you any recommendation or advise.
Before ordering, many customers for example test the necessary windscreen height by slightly moving their head up and down while driving.
